What we fix

Buckhead Garage Door Repairs, Done Same Day

Most repairs are finished in a single visit. We carry common springs, cables, rollers and opener parts on every truck, so there's rarely a second trip.

Broken Spring Replacement

The most common failure we see. If your door won't lift or you heard a loud bang from the garage, it's almost always a torsion spring. We replace in pairs so the second one doesn't fail a month later.

Same-day · Most jobs under 90 minutes

Carriage & Custom Doors

Buckhead has a lot of carriage-house and custom wood doors. They're heavier than standard steel, which means different spring sizing and hardware. We work on them regularly and won't guess at the balance.

Specialist hardware · Correct spring sizing

Door Off Track

Usually caused by a bent track, a broken roller, or backing into the door. Don't force it — running the opener on a derailed door bends the panels and turns a repair into a replacement.

Emergency service available

Opener Repair & Install

Motor running but the door won't move, remote not responding, or safety sensors misaligned. We repair Chamberlain, LiftMaster, Genie and Craftsman units, and install new when repair doesn't make sense.

Carriage Door Off Track — Buckhead

A carriage-style door had come off its track. These are heavier than standard steel doors, so a derailment puts real strain on the panels and hardware. We reseated the door, straightened the track and replaced the damaged rollers in the same visit.

Spring Replacement — Buckhead

The torsion spring had snapped, leaving the door dead weight and the car stuck inside. We replaced both springs as a pair, rebalanced the door and retuned the opener travel before leaving.

What We See Most in Buckhead Garages

Carriage and custom wood doors. Buckhead has more of these than anywhere else we work. They look excellent and they're considerably heavier than a standard insulated steel door — which means the spring sizing has to be right. We've been called out to plenty of doors where someone fitted a standard spring to a custom door and it failed inside a year. Getting the weight right the first time is most of the job.

Older homes, newer additions. Peachtree Heights, Garden Hills and Brookwood Hills are full of 1920s–40s houses, many with garages added or converted decades later. That often means non-standard opening sizes and older single-spring setups. When one of those fails there's no second spring sharing the load, so the door drops hard.

Detached and rear-entry garages. A lot of Buckhead properties have the garage set back from the street or down a side drive. Worth mentioning when you call — it helps us find you faster and know what access to expect.

Atlanta humidity. Summer damp is hard on steel cables and tracks, and harder still on wood doors, where swelling can throw the balance off across a season. We check both cables and the door balance on every visit, even when only one thing has failed.

"Our garage door broke a Thursday night and when we called around Eli was the only one that was able to come out the next morning. He was on time, fixed our garage in a matter of a few hours and gave us a great price. He even came back to reset our key pad as I had changed my mind to get it replaced."

"Three years later, different garage, different issue. Had to call my #1 garage repair man again. He made sure to explain everything and walked me through what needed to be done and gave a couple of options. The wheels were worn out and the spring needed some work. I knew I was in good hands and was once again very satisfied. He even took the time to change my light bulbs and cover some exposed wires left from the original installation."

Common questions

Buckhead Garage Door FAQ

How fast can you get to me in Buckhead?

Two hours or less for most Buckhead addresses, and often faster. If you call in the morning we can usually be there before lunch. Call and we'll tell you the honest arrival window for your area, not a sales number.

Do you work on carriage and custom wood doors?

Yes, and it's worth asking — not every company does. Custom and carriage doors weigh considerably more than standard steel, so they need correctly sized springs and heavier hardware. Fitting standard parts to a custom door is the most common mistake we get called out to fix.

What does a broken spring cost to replace?

It depends on the door size and spring type, so we quote after we see it — but we always give you a firm price before any work begins, and a ballpark over the phone. We replace springs in pairs, which costs a little more up front and saves you a second service call within the year.

My door won't open at all. Is that an emergency?

If your car is stuck inside or the door won't close and secure your home, yes — call us and say so. We prioritize doors that leave a house open. If the door is simply noisy or slow, that can wait for a normal appointment.

What garage door brands do you work on?

All the major ones — LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Craftsman, Wayne Dalton, Clopay and Amarr. Springs, cables and rollers are largely universal, so we carry those on every truck regardless of who made your door.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We're fully licensed and insured, and every technician is background-checked before they set foot on your property.

Should I try to fix a broken spring myself?

No. Torsion springs hold enormous tension and cause serious injuries every year when people release them without the right bars and training. This is the one garage door repair we'd tell anyone to leave alone.
